August 2. 01. 7. Accompanying Music BacktracksIt is extremely important that each participant brings along hisher backtracks one item per CD in WAV format only audio CD that can play on a CD player. Each item that is to be performed must be on its own separate CD. Your CD for each item will be handed in at the door before you enter the venue to perform for that particular item. Make sure you also bring along backup CDs, in the event that your backtracks are unable to play. The backup CDs can be recorded on one CD for all your items, and must be recorded in MP3 format. Please keep the backup CDs with you, and only hand in your backtrack CDs before each performance. All backtrack CDs must be recorded to stop at the required time limits. Mark the CDs very clearly with the participant 3. Please note No stickers must be put on the CDs, as this often distracts the CD from playing. Only mark your details on the CDs with a khoki pen. Stickers may only be put on the CD covers, but not on the CD itself. Instruments are allowed as accompaniment backup. Models do not bring their own backtrack music, as there will be a playlist for the modelling category. Late Arrivals. Please take note that no participant must be late for an item, as no item can be moved into another time slot. Should any participant be late or fail to arrive punctually for hisher item, then that item will unfortunately be cancelled. If you are only registering during the week, then please make sure you arrive at least an hour before your first performance takes place, as the queue for registration is sometimes very long. Also keep in mind that traffic can also become very congested in Gauteng at times, so allow enough time to travel. Awards Announcements and AMTC Selection. Friday 6 October Time to be confirmed. Adjudicators. Brief CVs of all our adjudicators will be availble on our website prior to the national round. We ensure that our adjudicators are objective, ethical and experienced. PhotosVideos. The use of cameras, video cameras, laptop and cell phone cameras are prohibited in the venue where performances are taking place. Anyone that is caught taking photos or videos, will be asked to leave the venue immediately. A professional photographer and videographer will be taking photos and videos during all performances. Orders for photo and video packages can be placed at their counter in the foyer. Participants are requested to wear all their participant numbers at once, whenever they are on stage, as this makes it easier for the photographer to keep each participants items together. Admission Fees for Spectators. The admission fee for spectators is R4. Children under 7 years can enter for free. This daily fee will allow spectators to enter into any of the venues where performances are taking place. The daily entrance fee can be paid at the SATCH Information counter, situated in the foyer. Only cash payments can be made, as we do not have card facilities. Entrance bands will be given once the entrance fee has been paid. Please wear these bands, and show them to the SATCH helper at the entrance to each of the venues. Please note if no entrance band is shown, then the helper will send you back to the SATCH Information counter to pay the entrance fee. SATCH Products. All SATCH products will be available at the SATCH information counter, from Monday 2 October to Friday 6 October. All these products are SATCH branded products. Only cash will be accepted, unfortunately no card facilities will be available. Products will not be available after the national round, so bring along enough cash for your purchases. No products may be put aside for anyone, as stock is limited. Outstanding Fees. All participants who have not paid their fees before the final schedule is made available, will unfortunately be removed from the schedule. SATCH can unfortunately not carry any participants that have not paid for their entries. This also applies to all persons that have made an arrangement to pay after the closing date. The payment update will reflect on the online entries, next to each item. Networking Wizard Software there. If your payment has not yet been updated in full for each item, please resend your payment proof, to avoid being removed from the final schedule. This in no way implies that you have not paid, it could be due to incorrect references made with the payment, and could therefore not be allocated, or that we have not received your payment proof. If a participant wishes to make use of props, then heshe must please supply the props themselves. Thunder Wonder Day. A participant must be able to carry hisher props on and off the stage himherself, all at once, otherwise heshe will be penalised. SATCH does not supply any props for performers, and no props are available for use at the venue.
